Immediately when they were imformed that something no right had occured. They did it this way, to save the repraoch on their good name, but it has spun? around on them! Perpetrators generally don't do rapes, within the ear shots of someone screaming for help! They settle to minimize their losses, and squelch the bad reproach brought out? on Jehovahs name by the Perpetrators. They know from the judgements handed down to other faiths, that they can't win in these courts today. No one in the WTBTS would want a rape to take place within its organization! The sad fact is though they do, and they needed to be dealt with through law enforcement.

It is because they wish? to avoid a trial that will incriminate Watchtower Inc and its policies that declare all those that get raped that do not scream are consenting to the rape. The handlers pay out of court settlements with the donations the members contribute to protect themselves from liability. It is foreseeable negligence.

Well, First let me state, I think the settlements should be paid by the perpetrators! But the courts of our day, seem to think that an org. that your belong too, is responsible for your actions 24/7. I don't believe you can monitor a persons behavior 24/7. But if a person is accused, then that org, does have a responsiblity to track and monitor that persons behavior. ask around about it? I know several publishers where keeping the extra money at our hall up to the year 1991. The donation cost arrangement collected at the? door was changed at a much later date.

There probably is a "special fund" they take the money out of. Come to think of it, in my 37 years in the WTBTS I never donated to a box that said "special fund" to cover sex abuse lawsuits. LOL! The Watchtower is a non profit org. yet they are one of the wealthiest religions in the world. You are 110% right when you say? they are after your life insurance polocy, your investments, your property, yeah they dont pass a "plate" , they go for everything you have. Anyway they tie their wealth up in stocks and real estate. 2007 was their last big settlement. They ended up paying out 13million. The evidence is in the real estate they had to sell off to cover the cost of protecting their image.

A good mag. publisher with a big route could pull down 100+ dollar with just a few spare hours of their time placing mag. on sat. or sun. & they also had week day evening service meeting all the time back then. Service was a joy when you got payed for it..LOL
